Preview Mode

Festology’s Preview Mode allows you to see what your event will look like to your site’s visitors before your event is published.

As you’re preparing for your event, you’re probably adding a lot of information to Festology that you don’t want your visitors and eventgoers to see until it’s all ready. Festology has a Preview Mode so that you can save events and event data as “Draft” and see what it looks like before publishing. Use this mode to get a feel for what the page will look like when it is published, including text, images and video.

Festology makes the preview process easy. You’ll be able to preview almost everything you enter and save as a “Draft.” Look for the orange “Preview” button or the magnifying glass icon. (If you’ve “Published” the item, you’ll see a green “View” button or the arrow icon. You can always click on these buttons/icons to view or preview a page.)

When you click on the button, Festology will open a new window and you’ll see a message at the top of the page confirming that you’re in Preview Mode. While you’re in Preview Mode, you’ll be able to see all of the unpublished parts of your event or event series. Other “Draft” items will appear in Preview Mode, but don’t worry, they are not visible to visitors to your site!

Remember that you can publish all your Events and event items, but if your Series is not published, Festology will hide everything that is a part of that Series. That means you can safely publish everything that’s part of a Series and then publish the Series when you’re ready to make your site live all at once.

Also note that Preview Mode is only going to show you the one page you requested and the page may not be an exact representation of your page when it is published. If you click on links from within Preview Mode, you might be kicked out of Preview Mode and taken to the live site. You can go back to the Website Builder and click “Preview” to see what another page will look like.

And, of course, you must be logged in to Festology’s Website Builder to view pages in Preview Mode. If you want to exit Preview Mode and see what the site will look like to your visitors, you can log out of Festology and return to the page.
